ILLUSTRATIVE Treetops - Kindergarten Three Fees 2024/25
Provision at Edinburgh Steiner School 4.5 - 6 year olds is from five Waldorf mornings - five full days until 5.30pm, during term time - (need Holiday Clubs?).
Waldorf Mornings (8.45am - 12.45am) can be extended until 3.15pm or 5.30pm for one to five afternoons a week during term time (availability depending); and can be paid upfront through the School Shop, spread monthly by direct debit (or met through Deferred ELC funding for up to 1,140 Hours. Please note, After School Club is not part of the 1,140 Hours ELC Programme).
To reserve a space in our Waldorf afternoons for the full Spring and/or Summer Term, select your desired provision here. If you'd like the extended provision to be added to your monthly direct debit, enter the code: DDSpring7 at checkout to spread the cost over January - July. (For Summer Term reservations, enter DDSummer3 to spread over May-July).

Until 3.15pm:
£775 + Vat at 20% from January 2025 for one afternoon per week for a full academic year. Termly cost depends on day(s) selected to extend and the date your child becomes eligible for ELC funding. The extended afternoon works out at £26.70 per session (namely £22.25 + Vat at 20%) when booked for the full Spring and/or Summer term(s) - saving 10% compared to the ad hoc cost; and can be added to your monthly direct debit, when you enter the code above at checkout.
Alternatively, you can extend provision on an Emergency / Flexi basis when required (availability depending) through the School Shop at a cost of £29.40 per session (namely £24.50 + Vat at 20% during the Spring and/or Summer terms, once the term has started: Kindergarten Afternoons - Emergency / Flexi (link will be live for Spring Term from Tuesday 7th January'25).
ELC-funded children are entitled to up to 1,140 Hours, which - if exclusively provided by ESS - equates to five days a week until 3.15pm.

Booking for the full term is £15.75 per session - saving more than 20% compared to the cost of an ad hoc session. Alternatively, Emergency / Flexi bookings are £20/session, bookable once the term commences.
After Kindy Club is exempt from VAT
The cost of After Kindy Club can be met through a Tax-Free Childcare account, reducing it by 20%
The session typically consists of a short play outside in the Kindergarten garden, then a shared fruit snack. This is followed by crafts and activities appropriate to the children’s age, which may include a rest time.

Food
Please provide your child with a snack for the After Kindy Club & label it as such. We suggest something savoury followed by a piece of fruit and a water bottle. Please do not include foods such as biscuits, cake, chocolate, crisps, sweets, highly processed foods, juice or milk. Please note: Early Years After School Club is NUT, SEED AND EGG FREE.
Clothing
The After Kindy Club involves playing outdoors in all weather. Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for the whole day and that they have plenty of spare clothes in their seedlings/kindergarten bag to last the whole session from morning until afternoon. Warm jumpers, fully waterproof jackets and trousers, and spare clothes, including socks and underwear, are necessary throughout the year. In winter, children need gloves (preferably waterproof) and woollen hats. Sun hats and sunscreen are required for sunny weather. Please write your child’s name on all items.
